Letters of reference for fellowship proposals

I submitted that fellowship proposal on time, and I think I did a pretty good job. A few of my particularly crazy interested readers even got to read the research part of the proposal. Even though my proposal was super fantastic, this is a pretty competitive fellowship and my chances were pretty slim.  But I was hoping for some good feedback from reviewers at least.

Now my chances of even getting feedback are slim, and I’m pretty sure my chances of getting the fellowship are null.

The application required three letters from references and one of mine didn’t get his letter in on time. I think this means my application will be chucked for being incomplete.

I was pretty upset about it for a few days, but I feel a lot more confident about grad school applications after doing the proposal, so it wasn’t a complete waste of time, at least.
